About Eli Luna
My name is Eli Luna, and I am a fifteen year veteran of the video game industry with experience in all aspects of the business. Currently, I am an adjunct lecturer at Southern Methodist University with The Guildhall program and a freelance artist. Along with my fifteen years as being an artist, I have worked alongside public relation groups creating assets and production planning (including video editing, photography and web development). Recently I have contributed to various projects that focus on the virtual and augmented reality space.
Professional Goals
As a professional artist, my goals are to continue to improve in emerging technology such as Zbrush, the entire Substance software suite and development with augmented and virtual reality. This goal will be achieved studying new methods and continue to work on personal projects along with working with teams that work in these fields.
Along with continuing my tune my skills as a digital artist, I will take an existing short film script I have written and execute it. This short film will be no longer than ten minutes in length. To achieve this goal, I will collaborate with other artists to keep the work within scope and budget. Working on an other medium such as film will expand my abilities to offer as a freelance artist.
Academic Goals
I am continuing my education and working towards earning my Bachelor’s degree from the Lamar University in Applied Arts and Sciences. As I am doing this while continually working in the industry, my academic goal is to maintain no less than a 3.7 GPA when earning my degree. Obtaining my degree will open more opportunities for my career in both creative industry and academic field.
